           There are humans in the world who are called Blazers that have supernatural abilities, who can materialize weapons known as a “Device” through a person’s soul. At Hagun Academy, Blazers are selected for the Sword Art Festival, a tournament this is held annually held by the Mage Knight Academies in Japan to determine who is the strongest Apprentice Knight.

           Ikki Kurogane is so disappointed he is nicknamed the worst one at Hagun Academy. That changes one day, Stella Vermillion, a rank A Blazer, is transferred into the Academy. Ikki had discovered Stella as she was half dressed, she challenged him to a duel. The loser must be obedient to the one who wins for life. She somehow loses to Ikki and they become roommates. Together their adventure continues as they train to qualify as the school’s representatives for the festival.
