           Two years ago, Mitsuki Koyama’s friend, Eichi Sakurai, had moved to America before she can express her feelings to him. Now, Mitsuki is twelve years old and has a dream of becoming a singer to reunite with her first love, Eichi. She hopes one day that her music will reach him across the world. But, there’s only one problem, she has been diagnosed with throat cancer, which makes her voice quiet and sing loudly. Her tumor is curable but only through surgery which could damage her vocal cords. She refuses the surgery because she refuses to lose her voice. One day, Mitsuki was visited by two Shinigami, Takuto and Meroko, whom only she could see. They told her that she only had one year left to live. This bad news gave Mitsuki more motivation to fulfill her dream, so with Takuto and Meroko’s help she can become a professional singer within that time frame she has yet to live. She begins her journey to try and become a professional singer, and she discovers what it means to sing and what it means to live her life. Can she reunite with her first love, Eichi, before time runs out?
