           Masane Amaha and her daughter are running away from town to town from a government child welfare agency that wants to take Rihoko away from her. She’s been struggling to build a life for her family, with no memory of the past during the Great Quake which destroyed Tokyo and she has no clue what the future will bring her. Masane was found unharmed at the quake's ground zero with a baby in her arms. She returns to Tokyo six years later, they finally get caught and Rihoko is taken away. In the meantime, Masane is attacked by a weapon, but it’s not an ordindary weapon this weapon can disguise itself as a human. While facing any type of danger, a light then releases from her wrist and she transforms into a powerful being. She destroys the weapon and ends up becoming involved in a power struggle between powerful organizations, but she’s the only one that’s at the center of their attention, just because she holds a mysterious bracelet on her wrist is the legendary Witchblade.
