           In the year 2126, a virtual reality game, Yggdrasil, had been released and was growing in popularity. After a good 12 year run the servers were about to shut down for good. The final hour came and one player was still logged into the game, Momonga, a powerful skeleton wizard, decides to spend his last few minutes of his time in the game as the servers begin to shut down for the day. The clock had struck midnight, and to his surprise he tries logging out of the game but one problem, he can’t logout. He starts to notice that the game world has turned into something different, with the non-player characters (NPCs) are starting to be brought to life somehow. While Momonga is trapped as his avatar, leaving his unable to log out or use his player functions, he begins to explore the new game world he’s stuck in, with hopes of finding out what had caused this and along the way searching for other players in the real world who are stuck in the new game world hoping they would find anything to help solve this mystery.
