There’s a special institution called the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA) where humans who were born with a power who can turn themselves into a weapon. Students who start training of the EAT (Especially Advantaged Talent) class train to be warriors, the NOT (Normally Overcome Target) class is for students who want to control their powers and not become as a threat to others and themselves.
Freshman Tsugumi Nakatsukasa, a new student, had recently discovered that she has the ability to transform into a weapon. She enrolls into the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA). While at the academy she meets meisters Meme Tatane and Anya Hepburn and Tsugumi focuses her attention on her skills and practices with other weapons along with the meisters who wield them. As she practices she hasn’t made her mind up as to who she will partner with and also must learn to control her powers and and over come her difficulties to live a normal life will be hard.

Soul Eater Evans, a Demon Scythe, who seems to only care about what’s cool, he became a Death Scythe along with the help of Maka Albarn, his meister. As students of at the Grim Reapers’s Death Weapon Meister Academy, their study habits couldn’t be anymore different. During battles against the forces of evil, their mission is to collect souls and protect the city from the threats, and which they make a great team together.
